Jashell Mitchell-Cross is a Flint, Michigan native and nationally recognized leader in youth development, education, and leadership advancement. Her career spans athletics, higher education, professional sports, corporate partnerships, and community philanthropy.

  • Greater Flint Sports Hall of Fame inductee

  • Member of Flint Northern High School’s 1995 back to back Girls Basketball State Championship team

  • Bachelor’s degree from Bethune Cookman University and master’s degree from the University of Memphis

  • Former Assistant Athletic Director and Director of Football Operations at North Carolina Central University, contributing to three MEAC Championships

  • Former Manager of HBCU Relations in Football Operations with the National Football League, leading national student career pipeline initiatives

  • Senior University Relations Manager at Rocket Companies, overseeing paid internship, housing, professional development, and DEI partnerships with HBCUs nationwide

  • Chief of Staff and Assistant Athletic Director for Football Operations at HBCU National Champion Jackson State University, creator of the Total Tiger Experience leadership program

  • Development Officer at the Community Foundation of Greater Flint, managing the GEN Forward Network Giving Circle, Flint Promise Fund, and community impact initiatives

  • Founder of Invisible Giants Legacy and Leadership Foundation, dedicated to mentoring and developing the next generation of leaders
